BIONEB® 细胞破碎系统

BIONEB® CELL DISRUPTION SYSTEM

Product Number Description
105A BN3010 BioNeb disruption system with cylinder for 5- to 10-ml sample volume. Includes universal positioner.
105A BN3015 BioNeb disruption system with cylinder for 10- to 30-ml sample volume. Includes universal positioner.
105A BN3025 BioNeb disruption system with cylinder for both 5- to 10-ml and 10- to 30-ml sample volumes. Include universal positioner.
105A BN4000 Two-stage gas regulator for Helium or Nitrogen. 3000 psi max. inlet pressure. 0-250 psi outlet pressure.
Each system includes a universal positioner and baseplate, flowmeter, 1/8" dia. cut-to-length tubing for reservoir inlet/outlet, 12" length of auxiliary inlet/outlet tubing, 6'' length of 5/32" O.D. tubing for gas supply, and connection fittings. (Depending on specific gas cylinders and regulators, some additional fittings may be required.)
The BioNeb disruption system was conceived and developed by Dr. Stefan J. Surzycki, Dr. Robert K. Togasaki, and Mr. Masahiko Kitayama at Indiana University Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Through the regulation of gas pressure (between a range of only 10 to 250 psi), the system can be adjusted precisely to:
1. gently open cells;
2. completely disrupt cells;
3. achieve 90% disruption for many cells in only one or two passes;
4. generates no heat - it actually cools the sample.This efficient process takes very little time, as the unit can disrupt cells at a flow rate of 30 ml/minute.

How the BioNeb system works?

In the process of droplet formation, large molecules or cells suspended in the liquid being nebulized are forcefully distributed from the liquid into the forming secondary droplet. This creates a transient laminar flow in the microcapillary "nebulization" channel formed between the surface of the liquid and the forming secondary droplet. The laminar flow in the capillary channel exerts sufficient shearing forces to break cells. The shearing force created depends on the gas pressure applied, the type of gas, and the viscosity of the liquid. This makes it possible to precisely regulate the magnitude of the force applied during nebulization. Therefore, the same instrument can be used for very gentle opening of the cells as necessary in organelle isolation, or for thorough breakage of the cells when preparation of a cell extract is desired.
