多发性硬化症PCR芯片可用于研究与多发性硬化症(MS)涉及的84个关键基因的表达。多发性硬化症是一类中枢神经系统的自身免疫性疾病,逐渐破坏机体神经轴突髓鞘和少突胶质细胞。症状主要是由髓鞘的缺失和伴随着的炎症反应造成的。这种疾病通常是间歇性的T细胞浸润和炎症的反复急性发作,其特征是脑白质损伤病变。多发性硬化的研究主要是通过尸检患者的脑白质病变样品进行芯片检测,找到该疾病的新的分子机制以及治疗靶点。这张PCR芯片上包括参与MS发病过程的基因,比如细胞因子,趋化因子,或炎症以及免疫反应的基因,以及在多次芯片实验中证实的在MS中表达发生变化的基因,包括细胞黏附,细胞应激以及凋亡。利用实时定量PCR,研究者可以方便并且可信地对与多发性硬化相关的基因进行同时检测。
