Rabbit polyclonal antibody to Viral Interleukin-6 of Karposis Sarcoma-Associated Herpesvirus/Human Herpesvirus 8. HHV-8 ORF K 2 encodes vIL-6, and IL-6 like protein of 204 aa (23.4 kDa). vIL-6 is a lytic protein of HHV-8, and 25-30% of cells express this viral cytokine in TPA-induced PEL cell lines. This antibody originates from rabbit serum and is purified by protein G chromatography.
